01Why this policy exists
Being in a coin's reward split means you earn a share of its creator fees when people trade it. That is a financial interest. When you tell people about the coin, they deserve to know about it, the same way they deserve to know when an influencer is paid to post about a product.
02What we disclose automatically
- Every token page shows the full reward split: each recipient, their role and their exact percentage, and whether the split is locked on-chain.
- Any thesis or call posted by someone in that coin's split carries an "in the split" badge with their share. It is computed from the split itself, so it can't be hidden or go stale.
- Profiles list how many splits a person is in and the rewards they have received on-chain.
- If CALLED IT takes a platform fee, it appears as its own labelled line in the split.
03What you must disclose
- Put the disclosure in the post itself, where people will see it before they act. Not only in your bio, not hidden in a thread reply, not behind "see more".
- Use plain words, for example "I get 10% of this coin's creator fees" or "I'm in the fee split for $TICKER".
- Follow the rules of the platform you post on (including X's rules on paid partnerships and financial promotion) and the laws where you and your audience live, such as FTC-style endorsement disclosure rules and local rules on promoting crypto-assets.
- If you are paid or compensated in any other way to promote a coin, disclose that too.
04Good and bad examples
| Post | OK? |
|---|---|
| "Called $DOGE2 at 40K. Disclosure: I get 25% of its creator fees." | Yes |
| "$DOGE2 thesis below. I'm in the fee split (10%)." | Yes |
| "$DOGE2 is the play, not financial advice" (while in the split, no disclosure) | No |
| "#ad" buried after 20 hashtags | No |
| "Guaranteed 100x, I'm in the split" | No. Disclosed, but promising returns is never OK. |
05Never allowed
- Wash trading, self-trading or any fake volume.
- Fake engagement: bought followers, likes, replies or reposts, engagement pods presented as organic, or sock-puppet accounts.
- Bot traffic or scripted clicks on call links, and any attempt to game attribution.
- Market manipulation, including coordinated pump-and-dumps, spoofing, and spreading false information to move a price.
- Promising profits or returns, or presenting a coin as an investment.
- Pretending to be independent when you are paid, or pretending a person or brand endorses a coin when they don't.
06Extra rules for creators
- Describe the split honestly. Don't claim people are in it who aren't, or that it is locked when it isn't.
- Don't invite an X handle into a split to imply that account endorses your coin.
- If you launch in lock-later mode, don't imply recipients are already being paid. Until the split is locked, creator fees go to you.
07What we do about violations
We may hide theses, calls and coins, remove images, disable call links, exclude traffic from stats, and block wallets from CALLED IT. These actions only change what CALLED IT shows. A locked split stays on-chain exactly as it was signed. To report a violation, use the contacts in our Terms.
